About Alanya: For its fertile soil, natural conditions and strategic position with an access to the sea and protection of the Taurus mountains in the back, Alanya has been a prime place to live for thousands of years. The first findings in the area date back to as far as 20.000 years ago. Alanya has changed numerous different rulers from pirates to various empires over the history, such as Ptolemaic, Roman, Byzantine or Ottoman.

Damlataş Cave: was discovered in 1948 quite by accident while mining for building of the harbour. It is located at the western foot of hold peninsula. There is a 50 m passage at the entrance. After the passage there comes a cylindrical cavity. This leads to the basement of the cave. The stalactite and stalagmites inside the cave were formed in 15 thousand years.

Alanya Castle: One of the symbols of Alanya – the Alanya castle over the rocky peninsula in the middle of the city.The fortress that you can see today is a remain of 13th century Seljuk fortress built after the conquest of Alanya in 1220 by Alaeddin Keykubat.

Alanya Viewpoint: Alanya is on your palm at the seyir terrace– enjoy the bird’s eye view of Alanya city, the Alanya castle, Cleopatra beach and Keykubat beach all in a magnificent panorama. The Seyir Terrace is the best place to take great panoramic pictures of the city day and night time.
